About

I’m Dr. Mark Swain, a child psychologist who has dedicated my career to discovering new ways to help children cope with mental, emotional, and cognitive issues and disabilities. I am of the firm belief that every child should be allowed to learn, grow, and thrive in a way that best suits their needs. After treating so many children with these difficulties and issues, I sought to find the best ways to help them that don’t involve intensive medication or severe therapy techniques. This is why I started to advocate for the benefits and therapeutic effects of comfort and support animals.

Before I became Dr. Mark Swain, I was just Mark, big brother to Cecile, and Uncle to Hayley and Jonas. All three of these beautiful children who have been in my life have had developmental issues. These issues shaped the way I saw and handled the treatment and therapy of children who need a helping hand and the supportive companionship of a friend during new situations and environments. My aim is always to bring the best and most effective care to children, and that means uniting them with the right care animal to help them grow and make their way through the world in the best possible health.
